CINCINNATI, OH (February 8, 2010) – Treck Incorporated, a leading provider of embedded Internet protocols, announced today the general availability of Treck TCP/IP version 6.0. The latest version of the industry-leading communications software provides numerous upgrades that increase versatility, performance, and ease of use. In addition to its existing robust feature set, Treck TCP/IP now offers support for 64-bit processors, the ability to manage over 64,000 concurrent connections, reduced memory footprint, and the ability to un-initialize the entire protocol stack freeing all global variables and system resources,
Included in Treck 6.0 is full support for several new RFCs including: * RFC 3484: Default Address Selection for Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6)
* RFC 3736: Stateless Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) Service for IPv6
* RFC 4443: Internet Control Message Protocol (ICMPv6) for the Internet Protocol Version 6 (IPv6) Specification
For a complete list of the newly supported RFCs please contact sales@treck.com
“Maintaining Treck’s position as the embedded systems industry’s top TCP/IP protocol suite means reevaluating the product as new RFCs are issued and incorporating features that our customers feel would improve their designs,” said Odile Lapidus, Vice President of Engineering for Treck, Inc.
Treck TCP/IP is a high performance TCP/IP protocol suite designed specifically for use in embedded systems. Like all previous versions, Treck TCP/IP 6.0 features 100% RFC compliance. Preconfigured for wide variety of processors and supporting most popular DSPs, Treck is considered the premier embedded networking solution.
CINCINNATI, OH (February 8, 2010) – Treck, a leading provider of embedded Internet protocols, has announced the availability of their new high performance networking reference design for the Xilinx Spartan®-6 FPGA Embedded Platform that includes the SP605 board. The new MicroBlazeT soft processor-based implementation of the Treck TCP/IP stack achieves upwards of 475 Mbps TCP payload throughput on a Gigabit Ethernet link. This performance is facilitated by zero-copy Treck stack implementation and the Spartan-6 FPGA which includes a hard memory controller that supports DDR3 memory interface at 800Mbps.
Treck provides demos including support for using the Treck TCP/IP stack in both standalone mode and in a multi-threaded environment with XilKernel. The demo software suite includes UDP throughput testing and examples of Treck’s HTTP server, FTP server, Telnet server, and SNMP agent demo.
“Treck’s high performance and reliable TCP/IP protocol stack allows our customers to fully utilize the Tri-Mode Ethernet MAC IP and hardware capacity present in Xilinx FPGAs. If you are looking for a TCP/IP stack to maximize your network throughput, Treck TCP/IP is a good fit.” says Brent Przybus, Director of Platform Marketing at Xilinx.

CINCINNATI, OH (October, 26 2009) – Treck, a leading provider of embedded Internet protocols, has announced the availability of their new high performance demo for PowerPC 440 on Xilinx Virtex 5 FPGAs using a Xilinx ML507 evaluation board. The new demo is based on the Xilinx Application Note xapp1043. Like xapp1043, the new demo features Treck’s ability to achieve near line-rate throughput with TCP/IP on a Gigabit Ethernet link. The demo has also added support for using the Treck TCP/IP stack in a multi-threaded environment with XilKernel. Even with the added overhead of XilKernel, the Treck TCP/IP stack is capable of delivering near line-rate TCP throughput of 938 Mbps with standard 1500 byte Ethernet frames and 990 Mbps with 9000 byte Jumbo Ethernet frames. The demo also includes UDP throughput testing and examples of several of Treck’s upper layer protocols: HTTP server, FTP server, Telnet server, and SNMP agent demo. Treck, Inc. has partnered with Freescale to deliver the premiere TCP/IP solution for the ColdFire platform. Providing support for both IPv4 and IPv6, Treck’s Internet protocols offer the highest performance and best RFC conformance available on the ColdFire.
Treck currently provides drivers for any ColdFire utilizing the Fast Ethernet Controller (FEC); drivers for different Ethernet parts are easy to add.
Drivers also currently exist for encryption offloading on the MCF5235. This allows Treck’s security protocols, such as SSL and IPSEC, to leverage the cryptographic capabilities of the MCF5235 and other ColdFires using similar hardware.
